Izuku’s heart looped in his chest as he propelled himself forward on two weak legs. He wanted to yell Todoroki’s name, but the sound was blocked in his throat as he realised he was scared. Scared that the boy would hurt him again. It wasn’t a rational thought; they weren’t in a match anymore.
Yet his body refused to call until he was close enough for Shoto to turn around and notice him. His blue and brown eyes widened, his expression an honest mix of surprise and worry as Izuku thought of the quickest thing he could say that came to his mind.
“Congrats on winning! S-Sorry I wasn’t there, I hope I d-didn’t miss your next match—”
His voice was suddenly muffled by a chest colliding with his face and arms wrapping themselves around his frail frame.

Midoriya Izuku was a strange kid. Shouta would be the first to tell people, the kid was reckless and made it his mission to break every bone in his body with the same intensity as his love of heroes. He mumbled more than he seemed to actually talk and when he did, Midoriya seemed to always want to say more, but never did.
Overall, Shouta was fine with his strangeness, recklessness could be tamed provided good teaching and training. With Izuku, it would be easier than most. The kid was dedicated to a fault, he had a strong set of morals which made him first in most things that mattered; always the first to offer a hand, always the first to cheer on others, always the first to help.
But there was something else that Shouta couldn't shake; something in the way Midoriya scanned a room before entering, the way his eyes seemed to dissect a stranger seconds after meeting them, and something about the way he always seemed seconds away from asking for help.Series

Whatever it was it had Bakugou spooked to the point he fell onto his floor grabbing the quickest object he could use to fight whatever this talking cat was. The cat only gave a small smile causing Bakugou to break a sweat and let his guard down by accident.

The greenette nodded as they closed half the distance to the gate, his heart thumping rather loudly in his chest as their class approached the exit. He wanted to tell them. He wanted people to know.
“I know right! Their quirks are amazing! And Kirishima’s too! Hardening your body is literally so cool.” Another student exclaimed to answer the topic started by his classmate.
Just as the class was enthusiastically joining in the discussion, debating which quirk was the best between fire and ice, explosions or finally body hardening, Izuku was pushing on his legs to get ahead of everyone else. He stopped in the middle of the road, under the surprise gazes of his classmates. He gulped, feeling the beating muscle in his chest accelerate in apprehension of what he was about to say. His eyes found their way to Eijiro, the supportive student smiled brightly at him and gave him two thumbs up.
Izuku cleared his throat, forcing a smile out as his heart raced against his rib cage.
